Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented Legal Counsel to join the in-house legal team to take a leading role overseeing legal advice and support to its UK and global operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to work closely with the Global Head of Legal and build strong relationships with Senior Management and stakeholders across the business. There is a clear career path with a view to succession planning. Role and its responsibilities The role will report to the Global Head of Legal. Day-to-day responsibilities and work will include: * drafting; reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts (e.g. distribution agreements; contract manufacturing agreements; IT/software agreements; marketing agreements); * advising on compliance and regulatory matters; * handling/managing contractual disputes; * Mergers & Acquisitions, including due diligence, disclosure and the drafting/negotiation of purchase agreements; * assist with the provision of internal training for the wider business on general legal matters such as GDPR and Competition law; * liaise with and manage external legal counsel to assist on the matters above including IP agents to protect the Group's international trademark and patent portfolio; and * supporting with general queries. As part of a growing team, you will also be expected to assist with mentoring of a trainee lawyer/paralegal member of the team. The Person We are looking for an ambitious team player with a pqe guide of 2-5 years. This is a fun and vibrant environment. You will be a natural communicator and have exceptional commercial experience gained either in house or Private Practice.
