RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a local medical centre to recruit Healthcare Assistant working 20 hrs per week. Grade: AfC equivalent band 3/4 dependent on experience Due to team expansion our Medical Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Health Care Assistant to join our friendly & busy, teaching & training practice. We deliver high quality healthcare in a safe and educational environment where every team member is valued. Main Purpose of post: As a support member of our nursing team you will work together with our existing nurses to provide patients with a high standard of service, according to their clinical needs, in a caring and professional manner. You will implement patients' care according to planned programmes of care needs, within practice guidelines. Where appropriate, this will be with particular emphasis on preventive screening and health promotion. In supporting the clinical team, you will ensure all equipment and necessary supplies are regularly maintained and available. In defining your on-going learning needs you will undertake relevant training to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills appropriate to your post. Special Requirements The post holder must possess the following - An understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality and to respect the privacy, dignity, needs and beliefs of patients and carers, An ability to work to practice protocols, policies and guidelines. Ability to work without direct supervision and prioritise by effectively managing own time, workload and resources. A working knowledge/understanding of health & safety legislation, data protection, safeguarding, child protection, basic life support and equal opportunities.
