Job DescriptionWe are looking for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant at Ilminster Avenue E-ACT Academy to support one of our pupils in reception with a visual impairment (contract tied with pupils) to commence employment in the new academic year on 01/09/2020. Salary: Scale Point 5, FTE £19,312 (Actual Salary £14,769.60) Contract: Fixed term (tied to pupil) Term Time only plus x5 inset days Start Date: 01/09/2020 Location: Ilminster Avenue E-ACT Academy Hours: 32.5 hours per week (08:30-15:30 Monday to Friday) Purpose of Job We are looking to appoint an exceptional and caring 1:1 teaching assistant who would like to join our dedicated team and contribute to ensuring our school continues to flourish. We are looking for a candidate with outstanding interpersonal skills, and with clear experience of working with pupils that have SEND needs. The role involves supporting a child in reception with a visual impairment, therefore applicants with previous experience of supporting a child with a visual impairment would be particularly welcomed althoughthis is not essential for the role. We are looking for someone who is committed to their own professional development and be open and willing to learn new skills. This is an excellent opportunity to work in partnership with the teaching staff in the school and staff from other schools that make up the E-ACT Trust.
