Our well-established client based in East London, a growing SME with around 50 employees are seeking a standalone HR Generalist/Manager who has a well-rounded skillset across HR, Recruitment and Training to join the business on a permanent basis as soon as possible. What does the role entail? As the sole HR representative for the business you will be the first point of contact for all HR queries relating to contracts, maternity and paternity, policies and procedures and any ER issues too. You will advise mangers and colleagues alike on all HR matters as well as looking after the entirety of the employee lifecycle too, this will cover issuing offer letters and contracts, onboarding, setting up of new starters, advising on policy, amending any salary changes, working on performance management and supporting on any ER through to tribunal if needed, including conducting exit interviews too. As well as all aspects of HR you will look to implement a Reward/Benefits programme, manage all recruitment activity for the business as well as managing all training too. This is not an exhaustive list and will be a fully rounded Generalist HR position as well as having other ad hoc duties and projects. What skills will you have? You will be a very well rounded HR Generalist who can create a policy as well as amend one, someone who can take ownership and lead the function, ultimately you will be confident in all things HR, a great communicator and relationship builder as well as someone who is proactive, independent and autonomous, someone who possesses great attention to detail and strong knowledge of UK employment law. You will possess all the experience to be a success in this role, however an added bonus would be having started or completed CIPD or equivalent HR qualifications.
