Process Development Scientist.
An exciting Biotechnology Company is looking for an experienced Process Development Scientist, with a passion for developing gene therapy, to join their rapidly growing scientific team in Oxford.
They are developing novel therapeutics for the treatment of cancer, focusing on immunotherapeutic approaches.
Process Development Scientist Role:
This fantastic opportunity is needing someone to come aboard and execute experiments to support upstream and downstream development of protein and virus candidates.
A key focus of the position will be to progress the selected candidate towards cGMP manufacture and the role will be require supporting all process development activities as projects move towards technology transfer. Other responsibilities will include:
Experienced in development of downstream processes for the purification of proteins and viral candidates.
Experience of purification processes for transfer to a contact manufacturing organisation for GMP manufacture.
Process Development Scientist Requirements:
Masters/PhD in relevant biological subject
Experienced in cGMP process Development
Extensive experience working with Mammalian cells within Bioreactors
Experience with bioreactor processes to optimise the upstream process for viral candidates
Experienced in iinvestigating, developing and establishing new methodologies in upstream and downstream purification
In return, you will receive a salary of between £32,000 - £36,000 depending on experience, excellent benefits package and ongoing career development.
