Job DescriptionService Manager - Shropshire £29,000 per annum + benefits Avenues is a specialist provider of social care, supporting people with complex needs to enjoy life. We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Service Manager to join our team in Shropshire. Our services in Shropshire are supporting people who have acquired brain injuries, learning disabilities, autism and diabetes in their family or own homes. We provide support across Oswestry, Wem, Shrewsbury, Elsemere and Ludlow. Due to the nature of the role it is essential for applicants to hold a full valid driving licence and have access to their own vehicle. The role; * To work in partnership with the Senior Operations Manager, Registered Manager and other key stakeholders in order to deliver safe, high quality services for service users. * To undertake the recruitment, development and management of staff. * To participate in the monitoring/management of service budgets to ensure a high standard of physical, social and emotional support is provided. * To act as a practice leader, role modelling Person Centered Active Support approaches and PBS approaches to staff and others. * To be responsible for the management of the service in order to meet the needs and aspirations of people supported, service commissioners and regulatory authorities. * Duties may include providing personal care and administration of medication. * To participate in the On call Rota. About you; * Experience of supporting people whose behaviours are challenging * Have 2 years' experience managing staff and services within social care * Minimum 2 years sector experience * Ability to manage complex teams * Ability to work under pressure * Ability to maintain good working relationships with stakeholders of people supported * Good communication skills * Share Avenues values of Respect, Excellence, Integrity and Pride * PBS qualification desirable or be willing to work towards * Full UK Manual Driving licence...
