The London Hairdressing Apprenticeship Academy, now part of the Learning Curve Group, are recruiting for a Barbering tutor to support learners at your Borehamwood and Loughton Academy. Pulling on your own expertise, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing the Barbering programmes to LHAA Apprenticeship and Adult learners. By placing them at the centre of everything you do, you will help them succeed and achieve outstanding learning and assessment outcomes and new these important qualities: Passion for learning and coaching Focused on developing the potential in people Personable and engaging Organised and self-reliant Enthusiastic and professional This is a part time role working 1 day in Borehamwood, 1 day in Loughton and half a day administration. Teaching and assessments Support the educator by delivering practical sessions that adheres to LHAAs scheme of work and the Education inspection framework standards Upskill Learners technical and knowledge skills to achieve a Distinction grade, educating them with the VTCT distinction grade criteria in readiness Undertake valid, fair, authentic, and reliable assessment ensuring evidencing and tracking of achievement is recorded using the LHAA e-portfolio and tracking systems Ensure learner readiness for end point assessment (EPA) and set SMART targets on action plans to support them to achieve Ensure all learner records and reporting is kept up to date and provided in a timely manner to support management reporting and audit requirements. Provide robust and impartial information, advice, and guidance to learners throughout their learner journey including exit advise in relation to employment opportunities Quality Assurance Participate in LHAA quality assurance activities working closely with the quality team.
