HR & Payroll Advisor.
Polypipe, a FTSE 250 company, is a leading manufacturer of plastic piping systems for the residential, commercial, civils and infrastructure sectors and an exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR & Payroll Advisor to join our busy HR function at our head office in Doncaster. To be successful in this role, you should ideally have an academic and professional background in HR, along with a good understanding of UK employment law legislation and qualified to CIPD Level 3. As an Advisor your main responsibility will be to offer expert advice, support and guidance to employees and all levels of managers within the business. You will practice every aspect of a HR Generalist on a monthly basis and be responsible for all HR activities, ensuring all policies are consistent and that all HR queries are dealt with promptly and reliably. Experience of payroll systems / software would be advantageous as you will be required to support our payroll function with processing weekly payroll data and completing all administration whilst ensuring the time and attendance system is maintained. However, for the right candidate training will be considered. The HR & Payroll Advisor role is varied where multi-tasking is essential whilst working within strict deadlines and high levels of accuracy and confidentiality. Interpersonal skills and being a team player are absolute musts, self-confidence and assertiveness are also important skills to have. Computer literacy is essential with extensive knowledge of payroll software and Microsoft packages including Advanced Excel. Earnie IQ and Zeus Time & Attendance Systems would be advantageous. Proven experience of the duties above within a similar position (manufacturing experience is desirable). Ability to work autonomously and make difficult decisions with a good level of organisation and prioritisation in order to take responsibility for high workloads.
