Communications and Events Officer Full time, 35 hours per week (some evening and weekend work required) Curdridge, Hampshire (with additional use of a satellite office in Winchester and home working) £24,500 - £26,500 Fixed term contract until 31 March 2025 Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts working across the UK. With the invaluable support of volunteers and members we manage over 50 nature reserves. We also work with other organisations and landowners to protect and connect wildlife sites across the county and inspire local communities and young people to care for wildlife where they live. We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Communications and Events Officer to be part of our new Watercress and Winterbournes Landscape Partnership Scheme. The scheme has received a grant of £1.93 million from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to work with communities and landowners to restore and care for seven of our globally rare chalk streams. You will be part of a new team working on the scheme from now until end March 2025, delivering 20 different projects and working with a wide range of partners. The role: The Communications and Events Officer will be responsible for coordinating and delivering all communications for the entire Landscape Partnership Scheme. The post holder will work closely with the W&W team and partners to develop and deliver communication plans for each area of planned activity, ensuring that we are using the best methods to reach each target audience. The post will coordinate and promote scheme events and will directly deliver a number of inspiring people-engagement projects including interactive heritage trails, a literary festival and exhibitions.
