Your levels of responsibility will dependon your skills and experience, but you will be able to apply your subjectmatter expertise to ensure and be able to demonstrate that the safety andenvironmental risks of operating our submarine combat systems and other complexsubsystems have been identified and are as low as reasonably practicable. Your levels of responsibility willdepend on your skills and experience, but you will be able to understand andreport the programme status for activities in your area of responsibility,identify problem areas and implement recovery plans, helping us to support oursubmarines that play a critical role in our nation's defence. Your main responsibilities as a Safety &Environmental Engineer will involve:Providing advice on safety and environmental matterto the project and engineering managers delivering our programmes and ensuringthe issues and risks are correctly considered, and appropriate mitigationsimplemented. This will include engaging with third parties, such as equipmentor system suppliers, to review and gather supporting evidence. Developing the necessary studies and assessments,such as Environmental Cases and Management Plans and Statements. SupportProduct Environmental audits as necessary and review and update EnvironmentHazard Logs Using your expertise and experience to makerecommendations for improvements where appropriate, at the same time assessingthe implications of changes to legislative standards and making recommendationsto ensure evidence of compliance is maintained.Your skills and qualificatio...
