You will support the class Teacher in ensuring the children get the most out of their lessons and a role model to all. More importantly, you will really make a difference in the lives on the students, by investing your time, passion, and energy into their learning, you will ensure that the students build appropriate relationships with their peers and staff. With your experience in EBD (emotional behaviour disorder) and challenging behaviour, you will be a guide and show the students how to understand their emotions in a way that any other Young Person can, regardless of their education needs. You will be a key player in contributing to the lesson plans and work in unison with the Head teacher. You will have the chance to further develop your teaching skills by leading lessons and contributing your personality into the curriculum. Having the correct positive attitude to towards this role is key and will make your interactions with the students even more meaningful. Having previous experience in SEN (Special Needs Education), EBD, or being a Support Worker in Children's Residential Home will be key and put you at the forefront of the short-listing process, however, full training is provided.
