Community Children;39;s Nurse.
This is fantastic career opportunity for registered children’s nurses to develop their clinical skills, in a supportive and varied environment. You will be part of an integrated team providing high quality nursing care to children aged 0-16 years, with varying complex and additional health care needs including life limiting illnesses and palliative care needs. If successful in your application, your role within this position will be to facilitate and co-ordinate a family focussed, holistic package of care for children who have complex health care needs, which empowers and enables families to remain independent and competent in coping with their child’s condition and to enhance the child and family’s quality of life.
Applying candidates should be registered Sick Children’s/Child Branch Nurse with valid NMC Registration. Within the post you will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative as well as demonstrate effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will require the ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent time management skills and a working knowledge of basic information technology will also be required.
As this is a community post, a valid UK driving licence is required.
