Job Description Qualified: £37611 - £38779 Newly qualified: £33493 A Vacancy has arisen within East Kilbride Community mental health team (CMHT) for the post of social worker. The post is based at Hunter health centre in Andrew Street East Kilbride. This is a full time post encompassing the duties and responsibilities of a social worker in a busy CMHT. These include working with a range of people who experience severe and enduring mental health problems. There is an expectation that you will have a clear understanding of statutory mental health work and it is desirable that you have an interest in pursuing mental health officer training at some point. You will have a full care management caseload and should be proficient in assessment and care management tasks. A working knowledge of the SWIS information system would be desirable, full training in this system will be provided if you do not have a background in using it. There are limited opportunities to jointly manage forensic mental health cases with MHOs and be involved in a range of other mental health work. Requirements All applicants must be registered or in the process of registering with Scottish Social Services Council and hold Degree in Social Work qualification or equivalent. A wish for Mental Health Officer and Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health Social Work (MHO) Award or equivalent is desirable. Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for any periods living or working abroad.
