Walton Lodge have an unmissable opportunity for a Support Worker to join their independent residential care home for adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. Walton Lodge responds to the needs of all clients on an individual basis, providing and maintaining a tailored care package.
As a Support Worker at Walton Lodge, you will ensure the clients are treated with dignity and respect and support them to maximise on their potential and quality of life. You will actively engage in all activities inside the home and out in the community including cinema trips, swimming, and other leisure and educational activities to fulfil the client’s goals and aspirations. Support Workers are required to update and amend care plans and risk assessments giving a high quality of care and in some cases, including personal care.
You do not need to have previous experience working in care but an enthusiastic and compassionate attitude to others will make you successful. You will understand the difficulties working in a challenging, unpredictable environment and will be resilient to overcome any situation.
