We're now searching for a Test Bakery Manager ready to play a key role in the next chapter of our journey.
This role will coordinate, complete and report test baking and product quality assessments in order to assist the delivery of continuous product improvement and new product development for Hovis. Role Responsibilities: Managing the test baking facility in High Wycombe Setting the standard for food safety in the test bakery area and ensure the correct training is completed.Ensure procedures are implemented and followedIs aware of the underlying principles of Quality & Food Safety and can relate own tasks to the delivery of Quality Management goals. Carries out activities in accordance with internally approved protocols. Highlights issues where product does not meet required standards. Understands bakery process, able to take a brief, create recipe, bake, test and report under controlled and reproducible conditions. Samples and tests raw materials to determine appropriate functionality: baking and final product assessment. Proactive to achieve correct product quality, able to assess products to approved protocols and report results, trending information as required. Performs tasks required to test and trial ideas with the support of the Development Managers and Continual Improvement Team. Can demonstrate evidence of ownership & delivery of recipe concept to launch.
