Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Special Needs Teaching Assistant.

Job DescriptionI know... there really is a lot of uncertainty about pretty much everything at the minute but our schools are recruiting for September and we live in hope that we'll be phasing back to normal as planned... crowded assembly halls, noisy classrooms & children full of enthusiasm ready to learn again. That means we need to keep talking about new opportunities and adding to our supply bubbles ready for schools reopening so I'm currently looking for some great Support Staff to join our talent pool. Type of roles: Teaching Assistant, HLTAs, 1-2-1 support, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Specialist Type of schools: Various specialist provisions including ASD, SEMH, PMLD, MLD and PRU but we do work in mainstream too! Vacancies: There will be a mix of permanent and supply work (both long term or daily, depending on what suits you) Salary: Schools recruit using the Surrey pay scale, typically starting £65-85 per day depending on the role Hours: Most support roles do require some consistency so ideally you'll be able to commit to 3-5 days per week Of course, there are some of the obvious requirements to be mindful of: - Qualification checks (ideally English & Maths grade C or equivalent) - Good behaviour management - An understanding of special educational needs - A sense of humour - Passionate about education & working with children Interested? If so, apply today and I'll be in touch to discuss!
