An opportunity has arisen in the Centre for Medical Education based within the College of Biomedical and Life Sciences for a Team Leader (Clinical Placements). The role is to lead and manage the clinical placements team and be responsible for the line management of administration staff.

The focus of this post is to lead and manage the operation of the clinical placements team, organising and delegating work, monitoring progress and contributing to the long-term management of the Centre’s strategic direction.

The post holder will develop networks across the School, developing processes and ensuring delivery of the team’s service level agreements.

Applicants should have substantial experience of supervising a team and be able to demonstrate specialist knowledge of data management preferably within a University environment. Also essential is proven experience in developing new processes and procedures.

Key skills and experience include the ability to communicate detailed and complex information effectively and professionally to a wide range of people.

Problem solving and evidence of being able to plan the work of a team over extended time periods, reacting to changes in workload and priority, and experience of being able to explore customer’s needs to ensure a quality service is delivered are also crucial skills for applicants to possess.

This post is full time (35 hours per week), available immediately and is fixed-term for 2 years.

Salary: £27,511 – £31,866 per annum (Grade 5)
