Job DescriptionConsultant Psychiatrist - Neurorehabilitation - Part Time - Permanent - Leicestershire - £104,000- £110,000 per annum + benefits My client is seeking a part time (30 hours per week) to join a neurobehavioural locked rehabilitation hospital for patients with acquired brain injury and neuro-progressive conditions patient displaying co-existing neuropsychiatric conditions and challenging behaviour. There are three wards offering 50 beds. A variety of care pathways are available, including acute and longer-term neurobehavioural rehabilitation and person-centred care, emphasising the least restrictive setting. The multi-disciplinary team includes psychology, nursing, occupational therapy, speech & language therapy, physiotherapy, social workers and medical. The hospital is a member of the Independent Neurorehabilitation Providers Alliance (INPA). You will be a Consultant Psychiatrist with full GMC registration including the specialist registrar and a CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant areas of Psychiatry. You should have experience of working in inpatient settings with people with an acquired brain injury and Huntington's disease. Your responsibilities will include: - Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including trans-disciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and the development of a therapeutic milieu. - Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983). - Supervising the process of referral and admission including contributing to pre-admission assessments of people with Acquired brain injury and Huntington's disease, with other team members and contributing to management meetings, clinical governance meetings for the services provided at the hospital. - Contributing to the development and evaluation of services in collaboration with the Lead Consultant and Clinical Service Manager. - Helping to deliver in-house training programm...
