We require a housekeeper to join our team to provide routine housekeeping duties to clinical and nursing staff within Ward 54, in order to support the provision of direct patient care and treatment of patients. Experience of working in a caring environment / role is essential and an insight into the housekeeper role is desirable.
You should have the ability to work as part of a team and also work independently. Be able to prioritise workload and have good organisation skills.
Excellent communication skills are vital. It is an expectation that you have a calm, approachable, professional manner; this is paramount when dealing with patients, relatives, nursing staff and clinical staff.
A housekeeper’s role will include supporting in the delivery of high quality care to patients - assisting with fluid and nutrition and demonstrating a compassionate and kind approach to care at all times.
You will demonstrate a professional partnership with support services and all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
You will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward environment, adhering to Infection Control policies.
Participation in audit, monitoring and maintaining standards is an important role whilst keeping accurate and concise records consistent with policies and legislation.
We are looking for a confident individual who is able to deal with the day to day workload in a busy, challenging ward environment.
