Lecturer in Psychology - Fixed Term (10 Months).
Job Summary The School hosts an undergraduate honours degree in Applied Social Sciences and postgraduate MSc Applied Psychology along with several social work courses, both undergraduate and postgraduate. Educated to doctorate level, you will have teaching experience within an HE environment and, due to the School adopting a blended learning approach during the ongoing COVID-19 situation, will be comfortable with online teaching (please note that the MSc is delivered fully online). You will carry out designated teaching and assessment primarily on the BPS accredited MSc Applied Psychology conversion course, but also possibly on the undergraduate BA (Hons) Applied Social Sciences. Ideally you will have knowledge and experience of lecturing and/or working in any of the following areas - introductory psychology, social psychology, sports psychology, research methods and organisational psychology. In line with the University's strategic priorities to contribute to fairer, more inclusive and socially engaged societies, the School of Applied Social Studies is building and strengthening research and scholarly activity in areas which underpin curricula, strengthen academic profile and enhance funding possibilities.
