The Director of Sales is responsible for leading a team of4-8 direct sales representatives (AEs)and National Account Managers (NAMs),and support personnel to attain the market’s assigned sales quota. This position requires target industryknowledge including: Cloud Computing,Data Centers, Managed Hosting / Storage, and IP Services. The Director of Sales will assist andsupport AEs, and Solution Engineers throughout the entire sales process, frominitial lead generation to closing sales through revenue management andcustomer life cycle. The Director of Sales has exceptional organizational;written and interpersonal communication skills; a demonstrated ability tomulti-task; and 10+ years direct sales and 5+ years sales managementbackground. Previous industryexperience is preferred.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage the sales effortfor the market to achieve sales and revenue objectives.Motivate, train andassist direct sales AEs to meet assigned sales quota. Assist and travel withdirect sales reps on customer visits or difficult customer calls. Create market salesstrategies to accelerate sales. Submit timely salesforecasts and reports. Resolve problems orissues with customer accounts. Develop relationshipswith internal departments in order to facilitate sales issues. Conduct weekly salesstaff meetings.Develop marketing plansfor territory.Interview and hire newstaff. Evaluate staffperformance and help staff meet their career goals.Maintain strategicaccount plans for all top accounts and prospects.
