Working with limited direct supervision, the role holders will deliver Central Technical Initiatives or corrective action to improve standards, retailer or business objectives. You will be expected to develop your knowledge and expertise in Dairy science and processing and assist in the delivery of competence throughout the operation.Key responsibilities within this role include: Support the delivery of initiatives to drive quality and cost improvements utilising appropriate tools and techniques: including: Root cause analysis , 5 Whys, Lean etc.
Take into account information relating to the wider environment and to make judgments/ decisions based on what is best for the company, and most cost effective maintaining or improving quality.
Continually challenge existing working practices and processes and seek ways of improving performance and driving waste out of processes and products. Monitor and evaluate advances in cleaning practices, both CIP and COP.
Deliver hygienic improvements by: Reporting on compliance to best practice, recommending actions to achieve compliance and or improvement, achieve consensus detailing costs and benefits as appropriate, delivering the planned actions and leading and supporting CIP validations.
