Area Sales Representative – North London / Essex / Hertfordshire Company: Versatile Equipment Ltd Location: North London, Essex & Hertfordshire Job Type: Full-time / Permanent About Us Versatile Equipment Ltd is a leading machinery dealer supplying premium equipment solutions across the UK. We proudly represent industry-leading brands including Bobcat Construction, Bobcat Agriculture, Mecalac, and Messersi, supporting customers across sectors such as construction, plant hire, groundworks, landscaping, agriculture, utilities, and related industries. The Role We are looking to recruit a driven and commercially focused Area Sales Representative to take ownership of an established and high-potential territory covering North London, Essex, and Hertfordshire. This role offers a strong mix of existing customer accounts and new business opportunities, making it ideal for a motivated sales professional who wants to make an immediate impact. You will be responsible for developing relationships, growing market share, and promoting our range of premium machinery brands across the region. Key Responsibilities • Manage and develop sales across North London, Essex, and Hertfordshire, • Build on an existing customer base while actively generating new business, • Develop strong relationships with contractors, plant hire companies, and end users, • Promote and sell our product range, including:, • Bobcat Construction, • Bobcat Agriculture, • Mecalac - Dumpers, Rollers etc, • Messersi - Tracked Dumpers, • Conduct customer visits, site meetings, and equipment demonstrations, • Prepare quotations and convert opportunities into sales, • Maintain a strong pipeline and accurately manage CRM activity, • Work closely with internal teams including service, parts, and support, • Monitor competitor activity and market trends within the territory What We’re Looking For • A motivated, target-driven sales professional, • Confident working in a field-based role, • Strong relationship builder with a commercial mindset, • Able to manage and grow an existing territory, • Professional, organised, and self-driven Skills & Experience Required • Proven experience in field sales / area sales / territory sales, • Experience in one or more of the following sectors is highly desirable:, • Plant machinery, • Construction equipment, • Agricultural machinery, • Groundcare equipment, • Capital equipment, • Strong negotiation and closing ability, • CRM and IT proficiency, • Full UK driving licence What We Offer • Competitive basic salary, • Commission / bonus structure, • Company vehicle, • Phone and laptop, • Ongoing product and manufacturer training, • Opportunity to join a growing and ambitious dealership, • Long-term career progression Why Join Versatile Equipment Ltd?
