Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

Salary: £30,000 per year + quarterly bonus

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7:30am–5:00pm summer / 7:30am–4:00pm winter)

Location: Local depot with company van provided
We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead a small team of operatives while carrying out grounds maintenance services for a wide range of clients. These include schools, parks, parish councils, business parks, and housing associations.

Your role

• Lead, support and motivate 1–2 operatives on site
• Carry out a wide range of grounds maintenance tasks, including:
• Grass cutting (large ride-on and pedestrian mowers)
• Strimming, hedge cutting and shrub bed maintenance
• Line marking, weed spraying, leaf clearing and litter picking
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Communicate with clients on site when needed
• Maintain equipment and promote safe working practices

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience in team leading or supervising
• Full driving licence (towing experience desirable)
• Skilled in using a variety of grounds maintenance equipment
• Good knowledge of grounds maintenance practices
• PA1 & PA6 and horticultural qualifications are an advantage
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or ability to obtain one)
