A private household in Eversley is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and proactive Groundsman & Handyman to assist with the upkeep and maintenance of the property’s outdoor areas. This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining gardens by mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and pruning trees.
Identifying and removing weeds to ensure a clean and tidy garden.
Planting flowers, shrubs, and small trees to enhance the landscape.
Carrying out minor landscaping projects to improve garden layout and usability.
Ensuring proper irrigation and maintaining garden equipment.
Repairing and maintaining sheds, fences, and other outdoor structures.
Cleaning and maintaining outdoor windows, roofs, gutters, and other external features.
Conducting regular inspections of outdoor areas to identify any maintenance needs.
Performing general outdoor maintenance tasks, including painting/decorating, small refurbishments, and minor repairs.
Maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
Communicating effectively with property owners and addressing any concerns or requests.
Sweeping, clearing debris, and assisting with other outdoor duties as required.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a private household.
Strong skills in grounds and outdoor property maintenance.
Must have own vehicle for commuting and collections.
Must hold a valid DBS certificate dated within the last 3 months.
Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Self-motivated, trustworthy, and respectful of household privacy.
Good communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
