  This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with experience in building electro-mechanical assemblies and working with both mechanical and electrical components. You'll be responsible for assembling, inspecting, testing, upgrading and repairing assemblies in accordance with technical drawings, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Customer Manufacturing Manuals (CMMs), ensuring all work meets quality and functional standards. Key Responsibilities Assemble small electro-mechanical components according to technical drawings, SOPs, and CMMs. Use hand tools and measuring equipment such as torque drivers, micrometers and verniers. Perform assembly tasks including drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, filing, lapping, buffing, and lubrication. Connect cables and wires following technical specifications. Conduct tests and inspections to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any product issues. Maintain the equipment used in electronic assembly processesRequirements Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CMMs, and SOPs. Experience assembling components such as fans, motors and heaters. Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English. Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly (desirable). Familiarity with mechanical and electrical components. Excellent attention to detail and precision in handling small parts. Comfortable using small assembly tools and measuring equipment. Fine soldering skills for small components. Good problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Basic IT skills.Additional Requirements Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible for BPSS Clearance. Ability to provide a minimum of 5 years' employment history. Carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance on traffic signals. Join our expert maintenance team - where your electrical skills and fault-finding talent make a real impact. This role will is to work within a 24/7 365 environment and will have 12 hour shifts, based on 4 on and 4 off, covering both days and nights What you'll do: Perform planned and reactive maintenance of traffic signals Attend faults on site as required by the contract Interrogate equipment controllers of all types and carry out fault analysis Complete daily work sheets Carry out periodic inspections in line with the contract Carry out risk assessments and method statements Production of completed test resultsWho you are: If you have experience in the Traffic Signal industry or come from an electrical background with knowledge of electricity and safe isolations, and you enjoy diagnosing and solving problems, then joining our successful maintenance team could be the perfect next step in your career.
