Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.
Responsibilities
Operate a flatbed lorry or multi car transporter to transport vehicles to various locations.
Ensure timely and safe delivery of vehicles while following all traffic laws and company policies.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Load and unload vehicles as necessary, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
Skills
Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid HGV licence.
Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is highly desirable.
Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
Previous experience as a delivery driver is an advantage.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong attention to detail, particularly in relation to safety protocols and vehicle maintenance.
