Housekeeper/Grounds Maintenance Staff - Kilfinichen Estate

Kilfinichen Estate, a family-run estate on the Isle of Mull, is seeking a Seasonal Housekeeper and Seasonal Grounds/Maintenance personnel to join our team for the busy holiday season. We welcome applications from couples or two-person teams. A full UK driving licence is essential for both roles.

• Ensure a smooth weekly turnaround of holiday properties, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Update guest welcome books weekly and conduct health & safety checks.
• Change bed linen and towels with the assistance of an external laundry service.
• Monitor and request housekeeping and hospitality stock as needed.
• Record monthly electricity readings.
• Safely use and maintain housekeeping equipment and vehicles, including driving an electric L2 van.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and assist the Head Housekeeper with additional hospitality tasks during family stays or special group bookings.
• Occasionally assist with simple cooking/serving during family visits or busy periods.
  
  
• Perform seasonal grounds work such as grass cutting, strimming, and general maintenance.
• Support the housekeeping team during changeovers and address small maintenance tasks.
• Conduct routine water filtration checks/changes (training provided).
• Care for outdoor furniture, wood stores, and other seasonal needs.
• Safely operate and maintain vehicles, machinery, and estate equipment, including driving an electric L2 van.
• Assist with collections, deliveries, and general driving duties.
• Respond to guest emergency call-outs when required.
  
  
• Full-time roles with essential Friday and weekend work.
• Two consecutive days off during the week, typically Tuesday and Wednesday.
• Roles are from March to October, with the possibility of continued work beyond the season.

Private accommodation is provided. Salary depends on skills and experience. Candidates must be drivers and willing to use their own vehicle at times, competent in driving small commercial/L2 electric vans. References are essential.
