We are an independent restaurant in the heart of Bermondsey, with a focus on local fresh produce.
Should prepare high-quality breakfast foods based on a menu or individualized orders. They may be responsible for serving, overseeing and maintaining products on a breakfast. Such as creating sauces and stocks. Besides traditional breakfast foods, chefs may make sandwiches or other lunch products and do general prep for lunch service. chefs are responsible for taking inventory and ordering kitchen equipment and food supplies. They must understand basics of food safety and apply health regulations regarding food preparation and service including proper rotation of stock. They may be required to attend staff meetings and understand organizational policies regarding food preparation, service, personal hygiene, professionalism and safety. They may support larger kitchens as demand warrants. Breakfast chefs need to work well with others and also independently.

Overall Responsibilities: - Become fully knowledgeable on all recipe cards and service standards. - Maintain your section in order, always clean and fully stocked up. - Support Management team with Food Safety requirements from the accepting deliveries, storing, preparing, and serving food. Ensure that Food Safety and Hygiene practices within the kitchen are of the highest’s standards. - Help to create a family feeling in the restaurant by communicating and building great relationship with FOH and BOH teams. - Ensure that sections and other kitchen areas are deep cleaned on a regular basis and recordings been made accordingly. - Support all management team in any areas where needed. - Report for your shift so that you are ready to work the moment that your shift time starts, wearing clean uniform and looking presentable. Looking for a junior sous chef for our cafe in Hackney Central serving all day breakfast/Brunch and sandwiches. We work in an open plan kitchen so right candidate must be presentable and speak a good level of english.
