We are looking for a skilled part-time kitchen porter to support our Chef and kitchen staff by assisting our chef in food preparation, washing, cleaning and sanitizing cookware, dishes and utensils.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting Chef in preparing dishes. Depending on experience or willingness to learn, this could include preparing starters and desserts.
Cleaning and sanitising cookware, dishes, utensils and cooking stations throughout the kitchen.
Sweeping and mopping the kitchen area as needed.
Receiving deliveries, checking and unpacking and putting them away
Following the directions of the Chef to provide support through the completion of any additional tasks requested.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience is preferred.
Up to date Food Hygiene certification and/or any other catering qualifications
Ability to work weekdays and weekends and split shifts
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Ability to follow instructions with an upbeat attitude
Strong teamwork skills
