Job Title: Guest House Manager (Live in)

Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated, hands-on Guest House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a 5-bedroom guest house. The ideal candidate will be warm, organised, and reliable, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Services:
Welcome and check in guests with a friendly, professional attitude
Provide a warm, personalised introduction to the house and local area
Handle check-outs and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their stay
Respond promptly to guest queries or concerns
Housekeeping & Maintenance:
Clean and prepare rooms to a high standard between guests
Maintain cleanliness and order in shared areas
Monitor and restock supplies (toiletries, linens, etc.)
Carry out or organise minor repairs and report larger maintenance issues
Breakfast & Hospitality:
Prepare and serve a continental breakfast each morning
Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and well-stocked
Be available to assist guests with local recommendations and support
Requirements:
Previous experience in hospitality, guest house or hotel work preferred
Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
Attention to detail and pride in presentation
Flexible with working hours
Basic cooking and cleaning skills essential
Comfortable with light admin and use of booking systems
Desirable:
Driving licence and access to transport
First aid training
Local area knowledge
