Responsibilities
Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure effective daily operations.
Develop and implement educational programmes that promote children's development in line with early childhood education standards.
Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and licensing requirements.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Organise staff rotas, oversee recruitment processes, and facilitate ongoing professional development opportunities.
Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate records of development milestones.
Manage administrative tasks including budgeting, resource procurement, and maintaining nursery documentation.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and education provided.
Experience
Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Extensive experience working directly with children, preferably within childcare or nursery environments.
Knowledge of early childhood development principles and relevant legislation.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting resources or attending external meetings.
