Aldenham Parish Council in Radlett, Herts  requires a 29.5 hours per week Open Spaces Team Member

Salary £27,254  to £29,064 (pro rata £21,729.54 -- £23,172.65)
depending on experience and qualifications

We require an enthusiastic person who enjoys working outside and has the ability to carry out manual work, to join our award winning Green Flag Parks & Open Spaces team. The parks & open space team between them maintain over 68 acres of open space, play equipment, fields, copses and woodland.  

You will carry out a wide range of maintenance duties in the area using various types of machinery, including grass/strimming/hedge cutting, litter picking, shrub and allotment clearance as well as maintenance of the hanging baskets in Radlett High Street. 

Ideally you will have some interest in gardening/horticulture. Training will be provided as well as appropriate PPE. Full driving licence is required.

In addition to the salary the council offers 23 days annual leave (plus bank holidays and membership of the pension scheme).

Working hours will be Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 3.30pm & Friday 7.30-3pm, with half hour lunch.

If you wish to join a small friendly team, are enthusiastic with good interpersonal skills and be able to work with minimum supervision.
