Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. Part time position which may lead to full time work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance. This role requires experience on a crane/ grab wagon (essential). May be some utility work but not essential experience needed for that. Based in Lancaster and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
Operate 6 wheeler/8 wheeler grab wagon, safely and efficiently.
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
Load and unload soil, hardcore & aggregate, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
Communicate effectively with staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Adhere to all safety regulations and understanding of collecting aggregate loads from local quarries.
Provide basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues as they arise.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for HGV.
Valid CPC
Valid tacho card
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A commitment to safety and adherence to all regulations while driving.
