We need a General Manager who will: Be responsible for the day to day activities at the restaurant Lead, coach and develop a successful team who take pride in their work Set standards to consistently deliver the best quality food and outstanding service to all Work with us to build an exceptional reputation and hunger for our food! La Nonna Pasta Fresca, located in Brixton Market, is in search of a pasta maker to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for producing fresh pasta on a daily basis. This includes long and short egg-based pasta, flour and water-based pasta, and filled pasta, as well as making fresh bread and Tiramisu. The restaurant has top-of-the-line equipment on-site to facilitate a smooth and efficient process. Previous experience working with fresh pasta is desirable, but not required, as full training will be provided. The ideal candidate should be passionate about food and the ingredients they work with. Some experience working in a fresh pasta restaurant is preferred but not essential. The candidate should have at least 1-2 years of experience in a prep chef role, be an excellent communicator, and be able to work calmly under pressure while using their own initiative. The position offers a salary of £12-£13 per hour, and La Nonna Pasta Fresca is an equal opportunity employer.
Sous Chef La Nonna Pasta Fresca We are looking for a chef with experience as a Sous Chef that is looking to to join our team in Brixton for our 45 cover restaurant specialising in fresh pasta within the vibrant Brixton Market. The Concept: La Nonna is an independent neighbourhood Italian restaurant bringing artisan-crafted fresh pasta plates to the heart of Brixton’s vibrant and bustling Market Row. Celebrating the best of speciality and seasonal produce from Italy and the UK, La Nonna is all about humble, honest and uncomplicated cooking in an intimate, relaxed, open kitchen environment. We make everything house, so whether you already have experience with fresh pasta or you are looking to learn this new skill, we want to hear from you! We work in an open kitchen so the customers can see us do what we do best! Our working hours are incredibly work-life balance friendly, having two days off per week, Monday being fixed as we are closed, and all other days, you'll never work later than 11 pm. We need chefs who will: Use their experience of working with fresh pasta (preferred but not essential) to hit the ground running if no experience then engrose themselves in the learning of this new skill. Follow the lead of the head chef to create the best ingredients possible Work closely with all team members, as we are a one-team approach Produce and prepare food to the agreed standard and within agreed timescales Adhere stringently to all food hygiene and health & safety legislation at all times Work with us to build an exceptional reputation and hunger for our food! History of La Nonna - La Nonna Pasta Fresca is a fresh pasta concept started in 2018 in Flat Iron Square as a street food stall after opening the second street food restaurant and due to the popularity of the food, we have decided to open a bricks and mortar site. We take pride in making everything from scratch with a passion for using the freshest ingredients and keeping true to our Italian Nonna. The Brixton site is a modern take on a Trattoria with cocktails, wines and the freshest pasta in town inside the atmospheric bustle of Brixton Market.
