Clinical Pharmacist – GP Practice (South Coast) Location: Bognor Regis Salary: BAND 8A - Up to £60,000 Hours: Full-time / Part-time options available About the Role We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Clinical Pharmacist to join a friendly, forward-thinking GP practice on the beautiful South Coast. You’ll work closely with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient medicines, provide structured medication reviews, and support safe, evidence-based prescribing. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care • Conduct structured medication reviews, particularly for patients with long-term conditions or polypharmacy., • Support safe and effective prescribing, including monitoring high-risk medicines and managing repeat prescriptions., • Provide patient consultations (face-to-face, telephone, or video)., • Promote deprescribing and reduce medication-related harm where appropriate. Independent Prescribing (if qualified) • Prescribe within your competence., • Manage minor conditions or chronic disease reviews under agreed protocols. Medicines Optimisation & Practice Support • Lead audits, QOF, IIF, and local prescribing incentive schemes., • Collaborate with community pharmacies, care homes, and NHS teams., • Advise on cost-effective prescribing in line with local guidance. Education & Development • Provide training or updates for practice staff., • Mentor pharmacy technicians, if appropriate., • Keep up to date with clinical guidance and professional development opportunities. Essential • GPhC-registered pharmacist, • Strong clinical knowledge and patient-focused communication, • Experience in primary care, hospital, or community pharmacy, • Commitment to CPD and evidence-based practice, • Completion of the CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway Desirable • Independent Prescribing qualification, • Experience with SystmOne and e-prescribing tools, • Familiarity with QOF, IIF, or other NHS frameworks Start Date: ASAP
