Job Description:
Personal Assistant is required to assist a 33yr old female with cerebral palsy who is totally wheelchair dependent daily routines of helping her with everyday house duties like cooking, cleaning, washing, doing the weekly shopping, assisting her with any appointments ie: Hospital / Dental. Help with daily hygiene routines such as showering, dressing, hair styling, teeth brushing and toileting. Assisting with any social events like cinema, family day trips, theatre, concerts etc…
Job Requirements
Driving License required ( clean no points or penalties) must be able to drive a manual car.
DBS Check required ( provided by employer)
Hoist training is preferable but not essential as training can be provided.
Must be pet friendly with dogs as there is a Yorkshire terrier that lives in the property.
Must be able to work alongside a care team as the client lives with her partner who also has cerebral palsy and is wheelchair dependent.
Required to do in house sleep on a 24hr shift bedroom provided.
Shift Patterns
Shifts are over a 4 week rota as follows:
Week 1 - Fri 8hrs (8am - 4pm)
Week 2 - Fri 8hrs (8am - 4pm)
Sun 24hr (8am - 8am)
Week 3 - Wed 24hr (8am - 8am)
Fri 8hrs (8am - 4pm)
Week 4 - Tues 24hr (8am - 8am)
Extra shifts maybe required due to covering sickness and holiday's.
Hourly Rate: £14.06 per hr
