About the Role: We are recruiting on behalf of a children’s residential care provider seeking compassionate and reliable Waking Night Residential Support Workers to join their growing team in Bognor Regis. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced care professionals looking to build or continue a career supporting children and young people. We welcome applications from candidates with experience in children’s services, adult care, supported living, mental health, learning disabilities, education, youth work, or similar care environments. Whether you’re already working in children’s residential care or you’re an experienced adult care professional looking to transition into children’s services, full training and ongoing support will be provided. Working as part of the night team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring children and young people feel safe, supported and cared for, helping to maintain a calm, nurturing environment while promoting positive outcomes. Key Responsibilities: • Provide a safe, supportive and nurturing environment throughout the night., • Promote the wellbeing and welfare of children and young people., • Carry out regular welfare checks in line with individual care plans., • Support young people with their night-time routines and emotional wellbeing., • Respond calmly and appropriately to incidents or emergencies., • Administer medication where required and maintain accurate records., • Complete detailed handovers and maintain accurate nightly documentation., • Undertake household duties, including cleaning, laundry and maintaining a homely environment., • Work collaboratively with the wider staff team to ensure continuity of care., • Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns promptly., • Promote positive behaviour and support children in line with their individual care plans., • Attend training, supervision and team meetings., • Essential Requirements, • Previous experience supporting vulnerable children, young people or adults in a care, support or education setting., • A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people., • Strong communication and teamwork skills., • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations., • Good written record-keeping skills., • Flexibility to work waking night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays., • Right to work in the UK., • Full UK Driving Licence.
