About the Opportunity: We’re excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a long-term contract supporting a prestigious client based in Cumbria. What You’ll Be Doing: As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be instrumental in supporting the financial and commercial performance of the project. Your responsibilities will include: • Cost Management: Assist in the preparation and ongoing management of project cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts., • Commercial Administration: Support general commercial functions including documentation, applications for payment, and compensation event tracking., • Subcontractor Support: Help assess and process subcontractor applications and maintain strong working relationships., • Collaboration: Liaise effectively with colleagues across departments to ensure project delivery is well-coordinated and aligned., • Support Senior QS: Work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to maintain project financials, time sheet entry, and reporting. What You’ll Need: To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a strong blend of technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and collaborative spirit, including: • Communication Excellence: Confident, clear communicator, able to coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders., • Organisation & Time Management: Strong ability to manage competing priorities and maintain commercial control., • Motivation & Drive: A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a commitment to high-quality work., • Analytical Thinking: Strong numerical and analytical skills to support effective cost management., • Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a commercial landscape or commercial administration (preferred)., • Qualifications: A degree in Quantity Surveying is desirable but not essential.
