Job Title: Room Attendant
Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor
Job type - Full Time, Permanent.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Room Cleaning and Maintenance:
    • Clean, sanitize, and restock guest rooms and bathrooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and emptying trash.
    • Replenish room amenities such as towels, toiletries, and coffee supplies.
    • Check for maintenance issues (e.g., lightbulb replacement, plumbing concerns) and report them promptly.
  2. Guest Service:
    • Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally, such as providing extra towels or pillows.
    • Ensure the privacy and security of guests by following established protocols.
  3. Compliance and Standards:
    • Adhere to hotel cleanliness and sanitation standards.
    • Follow safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
    • Ensure rooms meet brand and organizational quality requirements.
  4. Inventory and Supplies:
    • Maintain housekeeping carts and closets by restocking supplies and ensuring equipment is in working condition.
    • Monitor and report inventory shortages to supervisors.
  5. Public Area Cleaning (if assigned):
    • Maintain cleanliness in hotel corridors, lobbies, elevators, and other shared spaces.
  6. Team Collaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with the housekeeping and front desk teams regarding room status and special requests.
    • Assist fellow team members with workloads during busy periods.

Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a high standard of performance.
• Basic understanding of cleaning equipment and chemicals.

Preferred:
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.
• Customer service experience in a hospitality setting.

Work Environment:
• Regularly exposed to cleaning chemicals and equipment noise.
• Work may require bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, may be required.
