SEAMSTRESS / CLOTHING ALTERATIONS – FLEXIBLE WORK OPPORTUNITY
I am looking for someone with sewing skills, from basic to professional level, to join my clothing alterations business.
What I am looking for:
- Someone who knows how to sew and can carry out basic to advanced clothing alterations.
- Customer service experience is NOT required.
- Basic English communication would be helpful, but it is not a priority.
- Both male and female applicants are welcome.
Flexible working arrangements:
- Work independently from your own home, or
- Come and work alongside me as part of my team.
I work from home, so working hours can be flexible and arranged to suit both sides.
Pay: Negotiable, depending on sewing skills and experience.
Accommodation: A room/accommodation may be available if you would like to relocate and work in the SO32 2GE area.
Workload throughout the year:
- Busy season: March – September (more work available).
- Quieter season: October – January.

Hello! My name is Hue, and I run Boorley Park Alterations Service, a home-based clothing alterations business. I specialise in clothing alterations, from everyday repairs and adjustments to more complicated work, including wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, prom dresses, suits and many other garments. The business has been growing, and I am now looking for someone with sewing skills who would like to work with me and be part of the team. **Why work with me?** I understand that everyone has their own circumstances, commitments and preferred way of working. That's why I want to offer flexibility rather than a traditional 9-to-5 job. You can either work independently from your own home or come and work alongside me in my workshop. I am not looking for someone to deal with customers or answer messages. I need someone who enjoys sewing, takes pride in their work and pays attention to detail. I can concentrate on customer communication, fittings and organising the work, while you focus on what you enjoy – sewing! Whether you are a beginner with basic alteration skills or an experienced professional, I am happy to discuss what you can do and what type of work would suit you. Working hours and wages are negotiable, depending on your skills, experience and availability. For anyone interested in relocating, accommodation may also be available near my workshop in the SO32 2GE area.
