Oak Lodge Residential Home is seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. As a 17-bed home catering to dementia and respite residents, we are committed to providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
Duties:
- Supervise and support care staff in delivering high-quality care services.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
- Provide senior care assistance including personal care, medication administration, and emotional support.
- Demonstrate leadership skills by guiding and mentoring junior staff members.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment within the care home.
- Effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Drive initiatives to enhance resident well-being and quality of life.
- Utilize IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
Experience:
- Proven experience in senior care or a similar role within a care home setting.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong leadership skills with the capacity to supervise and motivate staff members.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
- Experience in utilizing IT systems for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
Requirements:
- dbs on update service preferable
- level 3 health and social care or willing to work towards
- availability for afternoon shifts and weekends a must
