Senior Support Worker - Oak Lodge - Walsall Wood

Oak Lodge Residential Home is seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. As a 17-bed home catering to dementia and respite residents, we are committed to providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
Duties:

• Supervise and support care staff in delivering high-quality care services.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
• Provide senior care assistance including personal care, medication administration, and emotional support.
• Demonstrate leadership skills by guiding and mentoring junior staff members.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment within the care home.
• Effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Drive initiatives to enhance resident well-being and quality of life.
• Utilize IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.

Experience:

• Proven experience in senior care or a similar role within a care home setting.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership skills with the capacity to supervise and motivate staff members.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
• Experience in utilizing IT systems for record-keeping and reporting purposes.

Requirements:

• dbs on update service preferable
• level 3 health and social care or willing to work towards
• availability for afternoon shifts and weekends a must
