Petrol Station & Shop Assistant – Preston
Join our friendly team at a busy local community petrol station and shop in Preston. Established for 11 years, we take pride in building great relationships with our customers and offering the very best customer service.
About the role
Our opening hours are 7am–11pm, with shifts scheduled within these hours. We’re looking for a reliable, enthusiastic team member who enjoys helping people and can work well in a busy retail environment.
Your duties will include:
- Welcoming customers and providing friendly, helpful service.
- Operating the till and processing fuel and shop payments accurately.
- Replenishing stock, checking dates and keeping shelves well presented.
- Keeping the shop, forecourt and work areas clean and tidy.
- Receiving deliveries and helping organise stock.
- Following procedures for age-restricted sales, fuel safety and security.
- Supporting colleagues and carrying out opening and closing duties as required.
About you
You’ll take pride in your work, have a positive attitude and care about making every customer feel welcome. Good communication, attention to detail, punctuality and the ability to stay calm during busy periods are essential.
Access to a vehicle for commuting is desirable, particularly for early starts and late finishes. Please have references from your most recent employment available.
