About Us:
The Black Horse in Great Missenden is a welcoming, well-established pub known for quality food and a warm atmosphere. We are looking for a Sous Chef who has a genuine passion and love for cooking to lead our kitchen and help us continue delivering outstanding dishes to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all daily kitchen operations
- Create and maintain seasonal menus
- Prepare and present dishes to a high standard
- Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen costs
- Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are met
- Train, support, and lead kitchen staff
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a similar role (1 year preferred)
- A chef who truly loves cooking and takes pride in their craft
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good organisational and time-management abilities
- Creativity and a drive for consistent quality
