Superintendent Pharmacist
We are seeking an exceptional, GPhC-registered pharmacist to join pharmacy as our Superintendent Pharmacist. This is a pivotal leadership role with full accountability for professional and clinical management. You will lead our clinical strategy, ensure the highest standards of patient safety, and drive innovation.
Independent Community Pharmacy Hours
Full-time | Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm
1 hour paid break (1:00pm–2:00pm)
45 hours per week
Salary: £48,000 – £52,000 (starting)
You will never be working alone — a dispenser or counter assistant will always be on site to support you.
Key Responsibilities
Act as Superintendent Pharmacist in line with GPhC standards
Maintain and oversee SOPs and governance systems
Lead on patient safety, clinical audits, and risk management
Provide professional leadership and support to the pharmacy team
Ensure ongoing regulatory and professional compliance
What We Are Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Registration: Current GPhC registration (essential).
- Experience: A minimum of 2 + years of senior management, phar manger or superintendent experience in the UK.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to manage complex regulatory requirements.
- Attributes: A "patient-first" mindset with a proactive approach to operational excellence
Current GPhC registration (essential)
Experience in community pharmacy with strong governance knowledge
Confident managing regulatory and professional responsibilities
