The Learning & Development Coordinator will be responsible for designing and delivering a variety of training programs, from on-the-floor coaching to classroom-style seminars. You will be embedded within the restaurants, working with managers and staff to ensure training is both effective and practical. Your role is to help develop the skills and knowledge that our team members need to excel in their roles, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Hands-on Training: Spend time in each restaurant working directly with teams to provide on-the-job coaching and development.
  • Team Engagement: Build strong relationships with restaurant staff and managers, identifying areas for growth and development.
  • Create Training Programs: Develop, plan, and deliver tailored training sessions, including onboarding, service standards, leadership development, and upskilling.
  • Workshops & Seminars: Organise and run regular workshops and seminars for staff across all levels, focusing on everything from customer service to team leadership.
  • Performance Monitoring: Work with restaurant managers to assess team performance and identify training needs. Provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Operational Support: Support restaurant managers in maintaining high standards of training and development by implementing best practices.
  • Training Materials: Design and update training manuals, guides, and resources that reflect the brand and operational excellence.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all training is in line with health & safety, food safety, and company policies.
  • Feedback & Reporting: Regularly report on training effectiveness, staff engagement, and development outcomes to senior management.

Key Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience in a Learning & Development or training role, ideally within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations and service standards.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and practical training sessions on the floor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with team members at all levels.
  • Highly organised, with experience in creating and managing training schedules and materials.
  • A passion for hospitality and a commitment to developing people.
