An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the friendly and welcoming team at our small animal practice, Poole Holes Bay Vets4Pets. The practice is owned by Dan Makin, an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine, who established Poole Holes Bay Vets4Pets in 2017. You will be joining a highly experienced team of 24, including seven Registered Veterinary Nurses, one Student Veterinary Nurse and one Animal Nursing Assistant, all supported by a fantastic team of eight Client Care Advisors. Our team is further supported by a dedicated management structure, including Lead Nurses, a Head Receptionist, a Practice Operations Manager and a trained Mental Health First Aider-ensuring a positive, supportive and well-organised working environment for everyone. About the Role: In this role, you'll have the opportunity to fully utilise your nursing skills, including admitting patients, monitoring anaesthesia, supporting recovery, and managing patient discharges. You will be supported by Animal Nursing Assistants and a Student Veterinary Nurse with theatre turnaround and patient preparation, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality clinical care. To be successful, you'll have strong general nursing experience alongside excellent customer service skills. We're looking for someone who is cheerful, approachable and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for animal welfare and providing exceptional care to both pets and their owners. This is a full-time position of 39 hours per week, worked across four days with paid lunch breaks. The role includes one Saturday shift every five weeks and operates on a fixed five-week rota, ensuring your shifts are planned well in advance. Typical shift patterns include 7:30am-4:30pm or 10:00am-7:30pm.
