General Farm Worker – Full Time We are looking for a reliable and practical General Farm Worker to join our team on a modern dairy farm with approximately 220 milking cows and four Lely robotic milking systems. This is a varied, hands-on role covering the day-to-day care of livestock and general farm operations. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team and will take pride in maintaining high standards of animal welfare and farm management. Main responsibilities • Daily care and management of the dairy herd, • Feeding and caring for calves and youngstock, • Feeding cows and monitoring feed availability, • Checking livestock health, behaviour and general welfare, • Assisting with routine herd management tasks, • Monitoring the robotic milking system and dealing with straightforward day-to-day issues where required, • Tractor driving and operating farm machinery, • Bedding, cleaning and maintaining livestock areas, • General farm maintenance and other seasonal farm duties, • Keeping farm areas clean, organised and safe What we are looking for Previous dairy or livestock experience would be an advantage, although the most important qualities are reliability, a good work ethic and confidence working around livestock. Candidates must be comfortable driving tractors and using farm machinery, or have suitable experience and willingness to develop these skills. This is a full-time position, and flexibility is essential. Farming does not operate to standard office hours, so applicants must be prepared for early morning starts and some variation in working hours depending on livestock and seasonal requirements. We are looking for someone who is dependable, observant and able to take responsibility for their work, with a genuine interest in livestock and modern dairy farming.
