Where will you be working? At M Group Highways, were supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK. Youll be joining our Highways Maintenance Transport Planning team, as the UKs number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes. Want to come and be a part of it? What youll be doing: Do you enjoy being a leader? Youll lead the delivery of business cases and transport studies,modellingusing AIMSUN, PTV VISUM and SATURN, and economic appraisal using TUBA, COBALT, and the Active Mode Appraisal Toolkit. Have you been a manager in a previous role? Youll be a line manager and provide training to junior members of the Transport Planning Team. Are you experienced in Stakeholder management? Youll lead on small medium sized Transport Planning projects and coordinate multi-disciplinary input from colleagues, consultants, and stakeholders where necessary. Do you have attention to detail? Youll undertake Quality Assurance reviews on work undertaken by Transport Planners and Assistant Transport Planners, as well as consultants. Youll establish strong client relationships. Can you work towards deadlines? Youll be responsible for delivery of work to time, cost and in line with quality expectations. What youll bring: Youll be proficient in strategic (SATURN or VISUM) and/or microsimulation transport modelling (Aimsun or Vissim) and local junction modelling (Junctions 10 / 11and Linsig) Youll be proficient in using TUBA, COBALT, and the Active Mode Appraisal Toolkit for economic appraisal. Youll be proficient in GIS (ESRI or QGIS). Youll provide input into successful Transport Business Cases. Youll have experience using active travel design assistance and scheme review tools and applying design principles contained within Manual for Streets, DMRB, LTN 1/20, and Inclusive Mobility. Youll have experience working directly with clients and on behalf of local authorities. Whats in it for you?
