We have a fantastic and exciting position for a dynamic, driven and enthusiastic Head Pastry Chef to join our Shop. We are looking for the right person to become the heart of the Pastry operations and be part of the larger Chez Antoinette family. The understanding of the French culture is essential. At Gigi, we offer a high quality yet simple product in a busy environment. You will build a team of Pastry chefs able to deliver the best products in terms of Bakery & Daily desserts for the Catering whilst also operating as an external pastry for the Chez Antoinette Victoria restaurant located a few minutes walk. What we are looking for: - Exceptional service standards - Outstanding attention to detail, encouraging a culture of high quality throughout the team. - Ability to deliver quality products within strict timelines. - Develop a motivated and high performing team committed to delivering clear goal. - Support the delivery of business strategies. - Build processes. - Understanding of costings and management of resources. - Day-to-day operations of the Pastry department. - Drive the revenue and utilize company resources efficiently. - Understanding of Food Safety and H&S regulations and their implementation. Particular skill set : - Previous experience of working as a Pastry Chef in a similar environment. - Actively seek feedback, responding accurately and efficiently to the needs of the business. - Initiative taker and decision maker. - French speaker & understanding of the culture is a must.
